Getting pregnant is not always straight forward and several underlying factors may be involved in the failure of achieving a successful pregnancy. Spiren Fertility Clinic is proud to offer the most skilled and experienced Fertility Experts. Our team is here to help if you are having difficulties.

INSEMINATION

Intra Uterine Insemination  or IUI is a procedure where a woman’s partner's sperm (AIH) or donor´s sperm (AID) is placed in her uterus at the time of ovulation. Drug stimulation is not used unless the woman does not have regular menstrual cycles. An insemination is performed by threading a very thin flexible catheter through the cervix and injecting washed sperm directly into the uterus. Most women consider this procedure fairly painless.

IN VITRO FERTILISATION

In Vitro Fertilisation or IVF is a treatment procedure where the eggs are collected from the ovary and fertilised with sperm in the laboratory. The early embryo development is carefully observed in an Embryoscope while the Time-lapse imaging provides crucial information for the first five days of development. The  best embryo is replaced back into the uterus, hopefully resulting in a successful pregnancy.

The majority of our patients are scheduled for a short-cycle IVF treatment known as an Antagonist Cycle. On average the Antagonist Cycle time frame from a patient telephoning at the onset of her period to pregnancy test is approximately 5-6 weeks. This treatment regime is beneficial for the woman in terms of lower stress level, fewer side effects and even reduced number of days of medication.

INTRACYTOPLASMATIC SPERM INJECTION

Intracytoplasmic sperm injection or ICSI, is a well-established technique, which has resulted in additional options for patients in the treatment of male infertility.

ICSI involves the insertion of a single selected sperm directly into the cytoplasm of a mature egg. This procedure overcomes many barriers to fertilisation which includes failed fertilisation from repeated conventional IVF, severe male factor infertility, very low sperm counts and/or motility, high number of morphologically abnormal sperm, utilisation of surgically retrieved sperm and use of frozen sperm when limited in number and quality.

You can have confidence that our IVF laboratory and clinicians operate at the highest standards and are in-line with current research.  The information communicated between the laboratory and your IVF doctor is vital to give you the optimal treatment throughout the entire process.

At Spiren Fertility Clinic we have a strong dedication to individualised patient care, rather than a blanket ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach, which we consider a key to our ongoing successes.
